This being our first blog post on all, I thought I'd take a moment to introduce our team. I'm Julia, the gal behind the website + social media accounts. You'll also find me most days at the brick-and-mortar, located at 108 Washington Street in Petaluma. I am the head buyer, so the items that you find in-store and online are the result of endless hours of research and testing. I work very hard to bring you unique, high quality goods.

My husband Rob and my brother Andrew are also part of the team. If you pop into the shop on a Sunday, you will most likely find Rob behind the counter. Rob has a keen eye for products, and most of the men's department is pre-approved by him.

Truck & Barter was launched as an online store in September of 2015. Almost exactly a year to the day we opened up the brick-and-mortar. We found a home in the newly remodeled Hotel Petaluma, and couldn't be happier with our location! Right on a busy street in Downtown Petaluma, it's hard to get from one side of the city to the other without seeing our shop.

The concept of the shop is based on an old-timey saying that humans have an innate desire to truck their goods to market and buy, barter and exchange with one another. We are filled with high quality, American made goods, as well as superior quality brands sourced from all over the world. We work hard to bring you goods that last. Goods that matter. When you buy from us, you are not only supporting our family business, you are supporting dozens of small batch makers that we are able to bring into the shop.

Thanks so much for stopping by! We will be showcasing brands here, as well as things we find inspiring around town and the web.

Have a great day!

~Julia

    Hi,
Your new store looks lovely, but I had to do a lot of searching on the website to find out your physical address and some sense of where on Washington you are located. I would suggest making it more prominent. Now that I know where you are, I look forward to popping in next time I’m in Petaluma. Good luck with your new venture.
